It is the operating hours that ultimately determine the price of a machine

In many companies, equipment investments are still compared primarily based on purchase price. Tammelan Vesi ja Lämpö takes a more long-term view. When the same Wille machine can operate with multiple attachments, work year-round, consume less, and retain its value well, overall costs remain low. In addition, a cost-efficient service agreement brings predictability to daily operations and helps keep the equipment continuously in use.

The versatility of Wille machines is evident in Tammelan Vesi ja Lämpö’s daily operations year-round, from maintenance to material handling.
The same Wille fleet adapts to a wide range of tasks by changing attachments, helping to maintain high utilisation throughout the year.

At the company, it’s clear that the most expensive machine is the one sitting idle in the yard

Founded in 1964, Tammelan Vesi ja Lämpö is known in the Forssa region as a versatile service company offering HVAC and electrical services, earthworks, property maintenance and vacuum truck services. The company serves private customers, housing associations, businesses and municipalities, with a goal of expanding its operations in a controlled manner beyond Forssa.

The company’s strength lies in its ability to provide nearly everything customers need under one roof.

When a single operator can, for example, inspect a sewer, locate a fault, excavate it and carry out the repair, work progresses efficiently without unnecessary intermediaries.

The first Wille machines were introduced decades ago for maintenance and property care tasks. Over the years, around ten machines have been in use, becoming an important part of the company’s daily operations.

The fleet is now being strengthened with new Wille 675Δ and 875Δ machines, delivered in a customized black finish tailored to the company.

“We want to keep up with development while remaining economically efficient. To do that, we need modern and cost-effective equipment,” says co-owner Roope Raiskio-Rantanen.

At Tammelan Vesi ja Lämpö, Wille machines are not limited to a single purpose. The same machine can be used for snow clearing in the morning, sweeping during the day, and later for material handling or maintenance work. Attachments in use include a plough, sand spreader, sweeper, bucket and hydraulic pallet forks.

Co‑owner Roope Raiskio‑Rantanen of Tammelan Vesi ja Lämpö emphasises the importance of total cost of ownership and high utilisation in equipment investments.
The Wille 675Δ and 875Δ machines were delivered in a customized black colour scheme tailored to the company.

Versatility is also evident in practice. During the construction of the company’s hall, Wille machines were used, among other things, to lift columns and bracing elements into place and to carry out work phases requiring precision and agility.

“The smaller and larger machines can largely perform the same tasks. However, for sanding we tend to use the larger machine, as sanding requires more size,” Roope explains.

According to operator Mauri Juhola, the strength of the new Wille models is particularly visible in everyday usability.

“You can do everything when you can adjust the settings yourself. Each attachment can essentially have its own settings, which is a big plus,” Mauri says.

He also notes that visibility, comfort and noise levels have improved significantly.

For Tammelan Vesi ja Lämpö, a machine is not just an investment, but part of daily operations. That is why the functionality of maintenance and aftersales support is also of great importance.

“A service agreement and extended warranty bring certainty. You don’t have to worry about unexpected costs in the same way,” Roope says.

At the company, it is believed that the most efficient equipment is the kind that is in use in as many places as possible, on as many days of the year as possible. And in their view, this is exactly where Wille performs at its best.
